RECYCLING ICEL PACKAGING

What is packaging?

A package is every material needed in the process of packaging products. The purpose of packaging is to protect the product, but it is also important for handling, transporting and storing the product.

Packaging can protect products from various risks:

• Mechanical risks, such as: falls or vibrations;

• Climatic risks, such as: rain or humidity;

• Storage risks, such as: corrosion or mold;

• Handling risks, such as: stacking or friction.

What is recycling?

Recycling is the process of collecting, sorting, processing materials that were not going to be used and transforming them into new products. Recycling has several advantages, such as:

• The conservation of natural resources and raw materials;

• Reducing pollution associated with the collection of raw materials;

• Reducing waste sent to landfills and incinerators;

• Reduction of waste in general.

At the moment, there are three recycling bins for the selective collection of solid urban waste:

• The blue recycling bin is intended for paper and cardboard;

• The green recycling bin is intended for glass;

• The yellow recycling bin is intended for plastic and metal.
